Events and Activities this Summer in Steamboat Springs, CO: Week Aug 13-19

As the mornings get cooler, and the days become a little shorter, one would think that the summer season is winding down. The elements may indicate this, but the event line-up in Steamboat Springs tells a different story. The upcoming week features musical acts for just about every taste, from the second last FREE Summer Concert featuring JJ Grey and Mofro to the mesmerizing chants and dance of the The Drepung Loseling monks at Strings Music Festival. Put on your blue suade shoes and re-live some of the hits of Marc Cohn at Strings Music Tent. How could you resist passing up the Rowdy Shadehouse Funk Band with a name like that! If opera is more your thing, check-out Carmen at Strings on Thursday night. And all this music is only a precursor to next week's incredible Steamboat All Arts Festival!
