New Restaurants Bring New Flavor and Flair to Steamboat

Spring has sprung new restaurants in Steamboat just in time for the summer! And all are promising new flavors, beautiful locations and food you won’t want to miss.

Now, most of us have not yet had a chance to taste the exciting new menus but that is a whole other blog! Here are the some of the brand sparkling new restaurants we at ResortQuest Steamboat are patiently twiddling our forks over!

Newcomers:
  • Truffle Pig: Expected to open June 2010- but we haven’t seen the doors open yet… The Truffle Pig is located slopeside in the One Steamboat Place. The menu featuring casually elegant cuisine crafted from the finest and freshest local ingredients - organic fruits and vegetables, free-range game and meats, line-caught seafood. Expect lunch and dinner served daily, signature daily specials with a big wine and micro brews lists. The Market side will also be open “morning, noon & night” serving coffee, summer picnics, snacks and grab n go items.
  • The Sweetwater Grill: Sweetwater Grill has sprouted new out of the old Yacht Club building that pleasantly sits on the side of the Yampa River. They are expected to be opening July 9th in time for the perfect July weather to be serving lunch and dinner. They are hosting an opening ceremony with Loose Change playing on the back lawn on July 17th. The menu seems to host a light arrange of lemon-Riesling fettuccine, Colorado trout, ginger ribs and fish tacos. The grill also plans to have Sunday afternoon jazz, Wednesday happy hours, and Fridays or Saturdays to host small feature bands in the lounge or on the lawn. One event to mark on your calendars in the Miss the Boat CD release party of Aug. 21st!
New and Exciting:
  • Ciao Gelato: Ciao Gelato has been in Steamboat for some months now, but if you haven’t tried it you must! You get the feel of Italy when you see the delicious pizza slices, Panini, gelato and coffee. The Panini are a screaming deal with awesome flavor combinations. And the pizza is very authentic reminiscent of the pizza street vendors in Rome. Finish it off with Italian gelato made with ingredients straight from Italy! Ciao Bella! They are located on 700 Yampa Street.
  • Bellas: Bellas is Steamboat’s refined wine bar located down stairs below Chocolate Soup on Main Street. The décor makes you and your wine even sexier and the small snack plates are deliciously perfect as you sip wine! Tuesdays offer Piano Piano nights with jazz piano playing, and Wednesdays are for the ladies with free glass of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries! They are open Tuesday- Sundays 6pm -2am.
