Steamboat Events and Activities for the Week of July 16-July 23

The long summer days are making it possible to fit in as many events and activities as you like on your vacation in Steamboat Springs, CO! And town has more than enough things to keep you busy.

Events and Activities:

Friday July 16
  • Jaffa: Bud Werner Memorial Library, 7 p.m.
    The Bud Werner Memorial Library and the Steamboat Springs Arts Council present a free foreign film. “Jaffa,” a 2009 Israeli drama directed by Keren Yedaya, was an official Cannes Film Festival selection. The screening includes an award-winning short film and popcorn. 1289 Lincoln Ave.
  • Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series: Brent Romick Rodeo Arena, 7:30 p.m.
    Cowboys and cowgirls compete at classic rodeo events. Barbecue will be sold starting at 6 p.m., and pre-rodeo entertainment runs from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the gate for adults and $8 for children ages 7 to 15. Children 6 and younger are free. Howelsen Parkway and Fifth Street.
  • Paula Cole: Strings Music Pavilion, 8 p.m.
    Grammy Award-winning singer Paula Cole is well-known for her chart-topping contemporary rock hits in the late 1990s. Cole returned to songwriting and singing in 2007 after a decade-long hiatus and will perform songs from her 2010 album, “Ithaca.” Tickets are $37. Call 970-879-5056. Saturday July 17
  • Mainstreet Farmers Market: Sixth Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    The Mainstreet Farmers Market features produce, food vendors, crafts and live music by Pat Waters. FREE. Sixth Street downtown between Lincoln Avenue and Oak Street.
  • Strings Kitchen & Garden Tour & Bearfoot :
    See some of the Best Kitchens and Gardens Steamboat has to offer and after the tour see Bearfoot at the Strings Music Pavilion, 8 p.m. With their quick fiddles, foot-stomping bluegrass and Americana tunes, Bearfoot was the 2001 winner of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival band contest. Tickets are $27. Pine Grove and Mount Werner roads.
  • Tour de Steamboat:
    This year's Tour will feature more routes, a fundraiser dinner and celebration with auction items, valuable prizes for top fundraisers and more!
Sunday July 18
  • Ghetdown Network : Ghost Ranch Saloon, 9 p.m. Free event.
    DJs spin. Call 970-879-9898. 56 Seventh St.
Monday July 20
  • Roy Book Binder: First String Music, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
    Enjoy an evening with blues singer, guitarist and songwriter Roy Book Binder. He has played and written traditional blues for 30 years, performing with musicians such as Bonnie Raitt, Hot Tuna and J.J. Cale. 1880 Loggers Lane Unit 1.
Tuesday July 21
  • Live music at Saketumi, 5 p.m. Free
    Locals’ night includes food and drink specials and live music with Eric Delaney and friends. 1875 Ski Time Square Drive
Wednesday July 22
  • Chris Berry Trio: Ghost Ranch Saloon, 9 p.m. Tickets are $10.
    Combing the modern and the traditional, the electronic and the acoustic, Chris Berry Trio plays eclectic world beats with a dub edge. 56 Seventh St.
