January is all about Music in Steamboat: MusicFest and Ski Jam

Two music festivals are headed to Steamboat Springs this January along with hundreds of fans from across the country and over 50 bands!

MusicFest is first on the calendar with country, alternative country, Americana and rock bands mostly from Austin, Texas. MusicFest starts today, January 4th through the 9th, however don’t expect to see too many shows as this event has been sold out.

However, the MusicFest and Ski Corp. are treating visitors and the rest of us who did not get tickets, to a free show by country musicians Jack Ingram and Doug Moreland at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Gondola Square. These guys know how to rock and it should be an awesome show. The free concert also features a Cajun cookout- yum!

Next up is the 7th annual Ski Jam. Ski Jam will be ushering in the contemporary side of things with music acts like The Wailers, Keller Williams, Super Diamond and The Molly Ringwalds along with a few others. Ski Jam is about getting phenonmenal artists to come and play for the people with an incredible backdrop like Steamboat that only adds and complements to the sound of the artists. So ski by day and rock out by night! Get your tickets asap as they will be going fast!

At The Ski Jam Tent:
