Steamboat Springs: Even Better Without Snow!

The Steamboat Ski Resort has closed for the winter of 2008/2009. This was one for the record books; a season that will no doubt live on in our memories through stories told year after year. It’s the story of the ultimate four-wire winter where over 500 inches of snow fell at the summit and over 40 feet cascaded down at mid-mountain.

Thank you to everyone who visited Springs this season. We hope you enjoyed every flake of snow as much as we did. We hope to see you in 2008/2009!

I am the author of http://www.steamboatskibums.blogspot.com/. Now that the ski season has ended, I turn my blogging to Steamboat in the summertime. If you did ski Steamboat this winter, please feel free to return to the Steamboat Ski Bums blog and post your comments and experiences!

I would pay a visit to Mountain Sports Kayak School and see about getting outfitted for the day. After turning over underwater and 'swimming' a sufficient number of times, I would drag myself to Backcountry Provisions for a fresh and hearty Sandwich!
