Free Music - The Wailers- Steamboat Closing Ski Weekend 2011

The sun is shining strong today in Steamboat and it is the perfect reminder that we have to say good-bye to winter and hello spring!  Ushering in the new spring is a fabulous little festival Steamboat likes to call Springalicious- cause it is delicious to soak up those rays, get the last skiing in, jam to music and know that our good friend winter is being put to bed for awhile.

The best part of Springalicious... well there are a few.

How about listening to two amazing bands at the Bud Light Rocks the Boat Free Concerts!Katchafire and the Wailers! Seriously.  On Sunday, April 10 after the last runs of the year are made head to the base of the mountain next to the Gondola to rock out to these free concerts!  The tunes will fill the air and the beers flow freely and hopefully warm spring sun will hit you!

Katchafire are an all Maori reggae band from New Zealand, who have achieved
phenomenal success over the last few years. Their debut album, the prophetically named Revival release by Mai Music, has sold in excess of 45,000 copies with Giddy Up being the biggest selling single of 2003. Read more...

And probably the other incredible thing about Springalicious is that you get 20% off lodging plus you'll get 4 days of skiing at Steamboat for only $99 dollars.  That is the cheapest you will ever be able to find lift tickets in Steamboat!!! yayaya!

So get to Closing weekend in Steamboat and find out why it is just so Springalicious.  Get your ski passes and lodging and listen to all the sweet music. Good bye winter, hello spring!
