Friday Sept. 10

• The Rowdy Shadehouse: Ghost Ranch Saloon, 9 p.m.

• Blue Krewe: The Tugboat Grill & Pub, 9:30 p.m.
  A Colorado-based Louisiana blues outlet, Blue Krewe, plays jazz and funk with swampy roots influence. Tickets are $5. 1860 Ski Time Square Drive.
  

Saturday Sept. 11

• Mainstreet Farmers Market: Sixth Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.The final Mainstreet Farmers Market features produce, food vendors and crafts. Kirk Martenson plays live music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. FREE. Sixth Street downtown between Lincoln Avenue and Oak Street.
• 23rd annual Yampa River Rubber Ducky Race: Brooklyn Bridge at Fifth Street, 10 a.m. Watch as 2,500 rubber birds float down the Yampa River, and buy your own “ducks” to benefit the Healthcare Foundation for the Yampa Valley. Tickets are $10 and will be sold from noon to 6 p.m. today at Safeway and City Market, at the Healthcare Foundation today and near the Fifth Street Bridge on race day. Ticket holders with the fastest ducks win prizes.
• The Knew with The Fling: Ghost Ranch Saloon, 9 p.m.
  Denver-based indie pop punk artists The Knew just released a 7-inch EP in the wake of their 2010 full-length release, “Pulperia.” An emerging rock act in the indie scene, The Knew is fresh off an appearance at the Mile High Music Festival and the Monolith Festival.   Peruse the galleries, restaurants and stores of Steamboat Springs that offer art in a variety of mediums.
• Greensky Bluegrass : Ghost Ranch Saloon, 9 p.m.
  The five-piece acoustic bluegrass outfit won the Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition in 2006, propelling the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based pickers to new heights. The band plays more than 150 shows each year and is in the process of releasing a series of live albums. Tickets are $10 on the day of the show. 56 Seventh St

  Watch as almost 100 dogs compete by chasing, herding and cutting flocks of sheep in an open field. There will be educational activities for children demonstrating the rich heritage of the sheep industry in Northwest Colorado. Spectators are allowed to bring well-behaved dogs as long as they are kept on a leash. FREE. Ranch is 3.5 miles from Bud Werner Memorial Library on Twentymile Road.
  
• Wild West Air Fest: Steamboat Springs Airport, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  The annual aircraft display and plane ride event features a tribute to the troops at noon. The radio-controlled airplane show is at 1:15 p.m., and a motor glider demonstration is at 1:45 p.m. Admission is $5.
• Mainstreet Farmers Market: Sixth Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
