Steamboat Springs Best Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Locations

A Steamboat local saying goes, "You come to Steamboat for the Winter and stay for the summer!"  This couldn't be more true for many locals in Steamboat and summers prove to be lush warm and absolutely gorgeous!  So what better of a place to have an outdoor wedding?

Kiki is sharing her top favorite outdoor locations for Steamboat Weddings! Contact Kiki Soule, our ResortQuest Group Sales contact to help you start planning the perfect wedding with the perfect accommodations at our luxury properties in Steamboat Springs.

Here are our top 3 outdoor wedding ceremony locations in Steamboat.

1. Fish Creek Falls Overlook
Kiki was married in this breathtaking location on a beautiful fall day.  The area is truly magical with a 283 foot cascading waterfall, massive rock outcroppings and gorgeous pine trees surrounding you as you pledge your love to your partner.  From downtown Steamboat, turn East on 3rd Street towards the mountains, take your first right onto Oak Street, and then bear left on Fish Creek Road and proceed approximately 3 miles and pull into the upper parking lot, $5 parking fee: Managed by the Forest Service.   Take the paved path (good for strollers and wheelchairs) a half mile to the Fish Creek Falls overlook.

2. Steamboat Botanic Gardens
Managed by the Steamboat Parks & Recreation, this lush six-acre site features ponds, colorful annuals and perennials, numerous evergreen and deciduous trees and delightful sculptures.  My co-worker was married in this beautiful location and had a wonderful time.  There were cruiser bicycles waiting for his wedding guests to ride to the wedding reception along the neighboring Yampa Valley Core Trail.  This is a fun paved seven mile trail that runs along the meandering Yampa River.  The wedding guests commented that the wedding was a very memorable treat. Contact Kiki for more info on reserving the area.
3. Trappeur’s Crossing Resort & Spa
The Trappeur’s Crossing Resort & Spa, managed by ResortQuest Steamboat, has six condo buildings that form a circle around a gorgeous courtyard.  The grounds are beautifully landscaped with flowers, cat tails and rock outcroppings.  The patio of the Trappeur’s Amenities Center has an outdoor bar, BBQ stations, a fire pit surrounded with Adirondack chairs, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and three outdoor hot tubs.  Please contact me and I would be happy to give you discounted rates for your wedding guest’s lodging.  As long as your guests book five or more condominiums you may use this tranquil courtyard to either get married, have a reception or brunch.
