Steamboat Springs in Between- What To Do in the Off Season!

Steamboat's 2010-2011 Ski Season was epic and now that the ski resort is closed, town begins to slow down. But there are still tons of things to do if you are planning a trip to Steamboat. This is a perfect time for some relaxing peace and quiet with some fun and unique activities thrown in.

Here are some great things to try out while in Steamboat in the Off-Season.

Soak Away Winter Hello Summer:  Head to the Steamboat Hot Springs in downtown Steamboat. The warm swimming pools and different hot tubs are perfect for the kids to play while the adults soak in the warm healing waters.  They also offer a wide range of massage therapies to help ease those winter blues.

Retail Therapy:  Downtown Steamboat Springs is all about shopping with a ton of different boutiques, sporting stores, art galleries, jewelry shops and of course a little Western thrown in! Don't miss F.M. Light and Sons!

Memorial Day Weekend: This weekend always seems to be the perfect kick off to the summer season. Join us for the annual Yampa River Festival and the Paddling Life Pro Invitational with tons of expert kayakers playing in the cold whitewater.  Viewing is great and their are lots of little apres parties to go with the nice weather.

Wine and Dine:  Alot of the local restaurants stay open to feed all the hungry locals and they do with a ton of varying and fun nightly specials- check out Big House Burgers,  Mambos and Winonas.

Live Music: The Ghost Ranch, one of Steamboat's most popular night life bars and live music venues took a quick breather and is re-opening April 29, 2011.  Don't miss fun cheap or free shows all mud season long!

So if this spring is calling for a little rest and relaxation with some fun and different activities thrown in then you should head to Steamboat!  When you stay with ResortQuest your vacation rental will mean pure luxury and privacy with all the amenities of a resort!
